  • 1980 PhD in medial microbiology, University of Sheffield, UK

  • 1981-1998, University lecturer and researcher on microbiology and immunology New Zealand, USA and Australia.

  • 2000, Muralist and stage artists at the Arcadian Children Theatre (for three years).

  • 2000-onward, attending workshops in painting, Taking part in art exhibitions and art competitions in NSW, demonstrating painting techniques for various Art Societies, and painting portraits and landscape including regular plein air paintings.

  • 2007 Invited to be an exhibiting member of the Royal Art Society of NSW (MRAS).

  • 2009, awarded TAFE Statement of Attainment degree in painting,

  • 2010, studied portrait paintings at Sydney School of Arts.

  • 2016, Invited to be Associate of the Royal Art Society of NSW (ARAS). 

  • 2023 Awarded a Fellow of the Royal Art Society -NSW membership

  • Artist's Residency at the Chateau d' Orquevaux- France for 2024
